RESPONSABILITA’: 

  • Condurre i test sui prodotti ed eseguire circuiti di prova (bassa e alta tensione) • Eseguire test di calibrazione in condizioni reali, per garantire che i prodotti siano  funzionali come da requisiti di specifica

  • Support the sales function in meeting our growth, profitability, EVA, market share, investment initiative, and product leadership objectives for respective product/market segments.

Senior buyer

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is located at BorgWarner’s Italy Plant in Lugo (RA).
She/he will manage the assigned commodities and suppliers, leading all the related buying activities.
She/He will report to the Purchasing Manager.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Select, optimize and manage supply base for components in upcoming and existing designs considering both the plant and global supply chain strategy
  • Negotiate contracts, prices, tools and terms of business with suppliers

TESTING ENGINEER

This position is located at BorgWarner’s Italy Plant in Lugo (RA).

As a testing engineer your challenge is to test prototypes or mass-produced power products, battery chargers and inverters, and all internal hardware and software components and modules. You also coordinate and plan electronic testing activities and are responsible for the efficiency of laboratory tests.
When requested, you support products development, and autonomously test plans according to the company rules.

Applications Engineer

Role requirements

  • Modify the configuration of the BorgWarner motor controller to suit the end application. Typical applications include electric vehicle AC traction motors (for both industrial and on-road vehicles) and also auxiliary motors such as pumps and compressors.
  • Interpreting customer specifications and providing technical advice to customers to assist in correct selection of BorgWarner products to be used.
  • Carry out software modifications on the generic product to meet the client requirements and also validating the changes, following the BorgWarner software release processes.
  • Assist customers in vehicle fault-finding and provide guidance to customers regarding vehicle CAN bus and EMC

Skills and Experience

Required

  • Good level of English, written and spoken. Level C1 is minimum required.

  • Familiar with AC motor characterisation methods: using dynamometer, theoretical calculation and on

SENIOR FIRMWARE ENGINEER

POSITION SUMMARY
Permanent contract, this position is located at BorgWarner’s Italy Plant in Lugo (RA).

The Senior Firmware Engineer will focus on motor control inverters (drives) and dc/dc converters software design and debugging. This includes advanced field oriented algorithms, and controls for Permanent Magnet, Synchronous Motors and AC Induction Motors. Together with the design activity, and in specific projects, the Senior Firmware Engineer will also take the role of Project Manager and SW architect.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve product goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
  • 8+ years of experience as electronics hardware engineer. High power design of 1000V 800A range in highly structured environment
  • MS in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • Knowledge of ISO26262, ISO6469, ISO6494, IEC60664, ISO16750 and related standards
  • Fluent in English

Background

  • Thorough knowledge of Electrical Engineering/Electronics/Physics/Programming fundamentals
  • Deep understanding of high voltage high power Power Topologies, and components
  • Deep knowledge of controls and the stability theory. Analogue/digital compensating loop design and analysis. Signal conditioning (analog) and microcontroller based designs.
  • Experience in designing hi-power HF transformers and inductors
  • Proficient in ECAD tools: Mentor PADS (preferred)
  • Circuit simulation in SPICE, PLECS, PSIM and/or equivalents
  • Understanding of value engineering principles for high volume manufacturing.
  • Experience in debugging/testing with lab test equipment such as oscilloscope, function generator, logic analyser, power analyser etc
  • Experience partnering with software teams to define and implement firmware, drivers and algorithms
  • Hands on soldering, surface mount soldering experience
  • Ability to both mentor and learn from high-performing collaborators
  • Availability to travel
