Electrical Engineer

Position

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the Electrical Engineering department to contribute on the design, engineering and assembly supervision of BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) projects and products.

The focus will be on three main areas:

  1. Support the proposal team in preparing technical documents for bid submission
  2. Follow the execution projects from the detailed design to the FAT
  3. Design and develop new products working together with the R&D team

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop electrical design and engineering ensuring project requirements are met

Requirements

Technical requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 2-5 years’ experience in managing the design of Electrical Energy Systems for production and distribution at medium and low voltage level
  • Knowledge of international electrical codes, standards and industry practices

Storage Project Engineer

Position

We are looking for a Storage Project Engineer to join the System Engineering Team of NHOA Energy.

The candidate will manage the technical aspects of Energy Storage projects throughout their evolution or in the phases of: offer, design, execution and commissioning. Its activities are mainly carried out in two areas: the commercial proposal – Tech Sale and the executive execution of the order – Execution. In these activities the Project System Engineer (PE) plays a technical role related to the following general tasks:

  • ​Planning and coordination of the technical aspects and operational processes of the project entrusted to him.
  • Supervision and coordination of the technical team.
  • Technical interface with the customer.
  • Collaboration with the commercial office in the definition phase of the offer.
  • Preparation / Supervision of technical-informative documentation and related reporting, for internal and external use.

Task and duties:

  • During Tech Sale activities, he refers to the technical manager of the Business Segment, he is responsible for drafting the commercial offer and collaborates with the Business Development Manager (BDM) and the Project Manager (PM). The main activities he is responsible for at this stage are:
  • Analysis of the documentation received by the BD Manager.
  • ​Preparation of the requirements document; ​Elaboration of technical deliverables; ​Assessment of transport costs supported by the logistics team; ​Preparation of technical specifications; Verification of sizing.

  • Experience in managing the design and commissioning of Electrical Energy Systems for production and distribution at medium voltage level, experience in high voltage connections is appreciated.
  • Experience in field test activities on MW scale plants interfacing with the customer, management of on-site and on-site acceptance test

IT Security Specialist

Position

Senior Power System Engineer

Position

NHOA is looking for a Senior Power System Engineer to join our System R&D team for leading and executing electrical power system studies (including proposing, planning, managing, performing analysis, and reporting out) to meet the needs for reliability and performance of our BESS (Battery Energy Storage System).

The Senior Power System Engineer activities will focus on three main areas:

  • 1. Performing independent analyses of steady-state and dynamic performance as well as conducting different types of modeling and simulation studies of NHOA’s energy storage systems
  • 2. Perform grid studies for integration of NHOA’s BESS and other demand/supply sources to identify system impact and required remedies
  • 3. Communicate effectively with clients to support their analytical, equipment design, application and/or compliance needs, and resolving issues promptly

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work with customers and technical sale team to define the optimal design and setting of NHOA’s BESS, running power flow, dynamic models and real time simulations
  • Increase our in-house capability to model NHOA solutions in different power system tools, such as: PSCAD; DIgSILENT and PSSE
  • Interface with utilities, independent power providers, and system operators in technical power systems discussions and influence our systems design to facilitate scaling on the grid
  • Work with both product design and firmware/software teams to keep models updated with the company technology platform

Requirements

  • MSc in Automation or Electrical engineering, preferably with PhD in Power Systems Controls
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in this field, PhD duration can be deducted but at least a 1-year experience in industrial/power system consultancy is mandatory
  • Expert knowledge of at least two power system modelling, with specific reference to user defined models: PSCAD/EMTP-RV, DIgSILENT, PSS/E
  • Direct experience modelling large and small grids with deep understanding of grid level performance requirements
  • Strong expertise about control schemes of synchronous generator and inverter-based resources, including familiarity with grid forming operation
  • Experience with performance of interconnection and engineering studies like stability, protection coordination is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of at least one programming language: Fortran, Python, C, C++
  • Strong working knowledge of control theory, including small signal analyses and, preferably, optimal control

Position

Position

We are looking for a Real Estate Developer to support the Growth team. You will support the Business Development Managers in the validation of land/buildings in the expansion phase of our sites, both owned and leased/licensed.

Position

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist who, reporting to the Procurement Manager, will work to reinforce and expand the NHOA’s Suppliers ecosystem.

Main Tasks and Duties:

  • Prepare and issue RFIs and RFQs
  • Analyse and compare quotes (from prices, T&Cs, lead time, list of exclusions)
  • Evaluate and negotiate in team and propose to Deal Team awards of the bid, that meets specifications, T&Cs, quality, budget and schedule
  • Maintain and upload procurement files
  • Daily contact with Team Members (System Engineering, Project Manager, Production etc..)
  • Pro-actively manage relationship with internal stakeholders building up effective relationships of mutual trust, understanding business priorities and ensuring relevant business insight will have the right importance in the procurement strategy

Logistics Specialist

Aim of the position: In the framework of the exponential growth of the NHOA’ Storage Solution business line, you will provide support in logistics activities for the execution of various sized projects as for commercial and contractual terms, ensuring that all related activities are performed in accordance with NHOA policy, from beginning to end.

Task and duties:

  • Analyse the transport specifications, send the consultations to the freight forwarders, validate the technical proposals, assess the risks and opportunities;
  • Transport call for tenders: Establish the list of service providers to be consulted, compile and send the tender dossier considering all the contractual, technical and geographical constraints, establish the comparison tables of the offers, conduct the technical and financial negotiations and present the comparative analysis, the rationale for choosing the service provider, the budget, and the risks and opportunities;
  • Procedures and docs: Establish specifications and / or transport organization note, interfaces with customers and freight forwarders, distribute them to the players concerned and make major changes dictated by the experience feedback from the first shipments;
  • Organize shipments according to the established schedule;

Service Technician

As a Service Technician, you will participate and actively contribute to the after-sales service at NHOA Energy through a truly customer centric and results driven approach.

Reporting directly to the Head of Service, you will oversee the after-sale activities for the plants installed worldwide.

 Task And Duties

  • Perform the required scheduled preventive maintenance and the corrective maintenance activities on site.
  • Supervise and monitor remotely NHOA Energy plants to guarantee the full operation of the systems and to maximize their performances.
  • Support the production during the testing phase of containerized subsystems.
  • Support the commissioning team on-site.
  • Remote and on-site support to the customer in terms of quick response in case of failure/fault on any components/assets to restore system functionalities in the shortest time possible.
  • Answer via e-mail and/or phone to any technical inquiries escalated by the Client.
  • Perform fast troubleshooting activities through plant HMI, data analysis and PLC code debug.

Junior IT Asset Specialist

General profile

The resource has basic knowledge concerning the functioning and characteristics of IT architectures applied to the main areas of intervention: operating systems, hardware, software and networking and has gained at least 1 year of work experience in the IT field.

The candidate will be in charge of:

  • Windows Workstation configuration, from factory settings to company configuration: preparation (setup) of new Workstations, reconfiguration, regeneration, decommissioning;
  • Android / iOS Smartphone configuration from factory settings to company configuration: preparation of new smartphones, reconfiguration, regeneration, decommissioning;

System Engineer – EV Charging Stations

At ATLANTE you will be in charge of supporting the origination of new opportunities by working on the design of advanced charging solutions. The System Engineer manages the technical aspects related to ATLANTE’s projects during the origination phase (offer, design, support business development). His activities are mainly carried out in two areas: the commercial proposal and the technical design of ATLANTE’s solutions. In these activities the System Engineer plays a key technical role to support the business origination and the development of optimized solution to cover customer needs.

Task and duties:

  • Analysis of the documentation received by the BD Manager.
  • Elaboration of technical deliverables.
  • Collect and analyse technical requirements from the Customer.
  • Acting as a technical interface, guide the Customer to determine the best solution according to his needs.
  • Execute inspections at installation sites.
  • Act as an interface between the Customer needs and System Engineering.
  • Assess system costs including installation and O&M, working closely with subcontractors.

You will be part of the Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence team, developing algorithms based on a wide range technique in supervised and unsupervised learning. You will also be directly involved in the integration of the algorithms developed in our core web-based platform.

Task and duties:

The main responsibilities will be to analyse the data coming from our plants for a range of different applications based on internal needs. You will also be responsible for proposing and developing advanced algorithms based on the group roadmap. You will work directly with other data scientists and software developers in the group including interacting with other groups in the company for specifications.

Junior Energy Management System

You will also perform numerical studies, leveraging the Atlante proprietary simulation environment as well as creating new internal tools, to support Business Development through techno-economic assessments and to explore the enhancement of the Atlante value proposition towards the customers. Finally, you will contribute to the deployment and operation of the control algorithms on the Atlante cloud platform.

  • Development and testing of mathematical optimization algorithms to maximize the operating performance of the Atlante infrastructure

Legal Specialist

As Legal Specialist you will be expected to support the legal team in providing proactive, thorough and business-focused legal work, as well as implementing initiatives and processes to set standards and reinforce a culture based on integrity, quality, ethical behaviour and accountability across the business.

  • Drafting, negotiating and reviewing a variety of domestic and international contracts, legal documents and agreements, including by way of example, partnership agreements, distribution and sales agreements, supply agreements, confidentiality agreements, service agreements, agency agreements, lease agreements etc.;

Operations Manager

At ATLANTE you will be in charge of the safe and efficient operation of charging stations. After commissioning, the EV charging stations will go “online” on the relevant platforms and become accessible to the public. You will be involved from the commissioning phase to ensure that stations go live & online smoothly and that from then onwards they operate seamlessly. EV stations are always self-service, with 24/7 remote assistance provided via specialised teams. You will manage the regular maintenance requirements as well as resolve any unscheduled issues, with the overarching objective to keep the stations operating safely and reliably at the service of our customers You will contribute to the selection process of other internal resources and/or selection of service providers. You will be responsible for commercial and contractual negotiations and for onboarding service providers or contractors. You will oversee internal planning, coordination and scheduling of activities. You will supervise and oversee contractors and subcontractors, ensuring that all related activities are performed in accordance with ATLANTE (or NHOA) policies, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments from beginning to end.

Task and duties:

  • Managing fleets or clusters of charging stations’ operations;
  • Monitor the assigned fleets or clusters’ performance, in terms of availability and reliability;
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety requirements;
  • Schedule regular maintenance and upgrades of stations;
  • Address and resolve unscheduled outages and other operational issues;
  • Liaise with the construction and commissioning teams to ensure smooth handover of stations;
  • Ensure maximum customer satisfaction with respect to stations’ availability and reliability;
  • Developing and sustaining over time relationships with customers and suppliers involved in the stations’ operations;

RECRUITER SPECIALIST

As Recruiter Specialist your primary focus and responsibility will be leading the recruitment activities of NHOA as a focal point for establishing an outstanding hiring process. You will be part of the HR team, collaborating closely with all the departments, especially with Head of and Line Managers.

Main tasks and duties:

  • Coordination with department managers to forecast future hiring needs;
  • Selection of talents based on the requirements expressed by the Head of and Line Managers;
  • Management of head-hunting companies;
  • Update and definition of recruiting methods and procedures (e.g. job application and onboarding processes);
  • Reporting on recruiting performance;
  • Management and monitoring of the Performance Appraisal and Talent Management process of the entire organizational population.
SITE ACQUISITION & DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

At ATLANTE you will contribute to the efficient and timely development of public or private sites for the installation of charging stations. You will be involved from and contribute to the early stages of the site selection process, focusing on the planning, permitting and authorization processes required to bring each site to “installation ready” stage, at which point you will hand them over to the Project Management team.

Within your responsibilities, you will supervise external consultants and contractors as required for the full site development and permitting. You will interact with all internal teams of ATLANTE and/or NHOA, and will ensure upkeep of all relevant NHOA’s policies, contractual and quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements. After handover to Project Management team, you will continue to support as required, including for the commissioning phase.

Task and duties:

  • Support the site selection process, especially with respect to planning, permitting or general development topics, timeframes and/or potential redflags;
  • Once sites are onboarded you will perform tasks defined into the development process. Wherever relevant supervise subcontractors or external service providers for the effective development of the sites or parts thereof;
  • Liaise with all external stakeholders necessarily part of the development plan: site owners, public/local authorities, local communities, consumers’ groups, planning authorities, fire safety authorities, utilities (for connections and supply), etc;
  • Liaise with internal teams (engineering, procurement etc.) and external consultants (lawyers, planning advisory etc.)
  • Provide feedback to the design and engineering teams, for continuous improvement and optimization of site selection and development;
  • Drawing up reports and keep track of KPIs related to development process;
  • Contribute to the creation or improvement of digital tools and systems as part of your work culture;
  • Promote a culture of cost-effectiveness for the benefit of the end-users. Be quality and customer-experience obsessed.
Industrial Designer

As an Industrial Designer at Atlante, your primary focus and responsibility will be the development of product features to enable a sustainable experience to the final user. You will be responsible to define interactive products and responsive environments taking in consideration users’ needs. You will be responsible to provide aesthetic and functional value, integrating physical features with digital ones. Your goal will be to connect the dots between service, business, and product in meaningful ways.
You will work remotely or on-site in Turin (Italy) or Milan (Italy) within the Infrastructure and Business Development team and with cross-functional teams made of product managers, designers, developers and engineers.

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Designer who thrive on blending many crafts to create holistic experiences with passion for design and design thinking. The Industrial Designer is responsible for defining the look & feel design with Product/Offering Manager/R&D Manager to ensure that both the business goals and the user needs are continuously aligned. In addition, the Industrial Designer leverages visualization skills in prototyping, sketching and storytelling to convey compelling product experiences. You will report to Head of Infrastructure, collaborating closely with all the other teams of the Company.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Design Requirements;
  • 6+ years of work experience in Industrial design;
  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Design, Industrial Design, Product Design or related education;
  • Human-centred design approach;
  • Good eye for visual design, digital and product branding;
  • Solid knowledge of 3D CAD/Modeling tools (e.g. Rhino);
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Suite tools;
  • Experience working closely with R&D department;
  • Familiarity with Agile or Design Sprint methodologies and an “MVP-first” mindset;
  • Experience with Design Systems.
